It's certainly specific to your use cases. 60hz is totally fine for all use cases, which I think is why this is a contentious topic at all. But higher refresh rate and content that actually puts out enough frames to utilize it does definitely make it a smoother experience. It is night and day to me, but I play fast moving games at 144fps on a 144hz monitor, so if I am missing half over half the frames I do notice.

I guess that's another group, people correctly in high refresh rate mode but not consuming content that reaches that refresh rate.
